I’ve spent the last 2 weeks trying to reverse engineer Threads—the fastest growing app of all time.

This included trying to really understand key strategic decisions, like tying itself to Instagram, and the rationale behind a bunch of A/B tests that they’ve been running.

And I’m impressed. Meta have a playbook for shipping, scaling and monetising products and features to billions of users (e.g., Stories and Reels).
