Okay I’ll admit; when ChatGPT first blew up, I also thought that AI-chatbots would usher in a new vanguard of customer service agents.

But ask your postman if they enjoy using chatbots yet.

Actually don’t bother—you know what they’ll say.

This month I’ve been putting a bunch of chatbots through their paces, including Intercom, Revolut, Monzo, Starling, Amazon, Stripe and Apple.
